At the Gewatec Technologie-Tage, ZWT Zisterer is happy to demonstrate the difference between a good and a very good tool: At this event, we show you what we do to increase our customers' satisfaction in their everyday work. Markus Zepf, Technical Director of ZWT Zisterer, presents the four principles which are the pillars of our success.
Quality is everything
Even the most sophisticated machine needs premium-quality tools to produce accurately machined parts. For this reason, ZWT Zisterer has a consistent quality assurance chain in place which covers all stages of a tool, from design to delivery. Only tools of the very best quality are sent to the customer – after all, this is what our name stands for. To achieve this goal, we leave nothing to chance: "We are getting best results from our quality assurance which is integrated with the production," says Markus Zepf. "Additionally, there are our regular audits which always show positive results. Our workers use meticulous self-monitoring process which as a rule include documentation and recording of operating data." The Technical Director explains that these measures are complemented by state-of-the-art measuring technology and a much-used employee suggestion scheme which helps to optimize and improve working processes and results.
Developing optimum solutions
In addition to the premium quality, ZWT Zisterer customers enjoy further benefits: "With our extensive experience, we are the perfect partner when it comes to finding the ideal solution for manufacturing a part," says Markus Zepf. "We know how you can use contour turning equipment to achieve faster cycle times, tooling and changing, and thus reduce your total machining time. Furthermore, we can help you to get the quality you want by selecting the proper machining strategy and the matching tool with the optimum properties. Contour turning means fewer machining steps, less error addition potential, and perfect repeat accuracy."
Comprehensive service makes our offer perfect
The third but not less important pillar in the ZWT Zisterer portfolio is service, Markus Zepf explains: "The moment a customer approaches us with a problem, we often are already half-way towards having found a solution." In recent years, ZWT Zisterer developed or produced around 30,000 tool solutions – a great wealth of experience which "enables us to develop full-fit tools for almost any individual solution". Every day, the experienced engineers and technicians at ZWT Zisterer draw from that treasure of experience to find solutions. Simultaneously, they improve their knowledge by being in continuous contact with the shop floor and the practical applications.
But ZWT Zisterer can offer other services as well, Markus Zepf says: "With our own coating shop, we have full control over the quality of the coating. We also get the results of practical tests sooner so that our customers benefit from shorter delivery times."
In addition to technical advice, development and in-house coating, the ZWT Zisterer portfolio comprises the 24-hour re-grinding service: "In urgent cases, we can guarantee our customers that they will get a fully operative, re-ground tool within a day, independent of the number of tools sent in," Markus Zepf promises.
